Who we are

Tribute is more than a quartet—it’s a heartfelt nod to the barbershop greats who inspired us. United by a shared love for the legendary sounds of the 1980s and ’90s Barbershop Harmony Society era, we formed Tribute to honor the groups whose recordings sparked our earliest passion for four-part harmony.

As proud members of the Heralds of Harmony in Tampa, we’re honored to represent the Sunshine District on stage and in the community. Whether we’re performing at a chapter show, competition, or special event, our goal is simple: to capture the magic of the golden age of barbershop and share it with our audiences.

Meet the voices behind Tribute: Brian, Ryan, Marshall, and Sam!

  • Brian Lindvall

    TENOR

Brian is a branding and marketing consultant based in Orlando, FL. He discovered barbershop in high school through performing in The Music Man, which led him to attend SPEBSQSA’s Harmony College (now BHS Harmony University)—a life-changing experience that sparked his love of the artform. That passion for four-party harmony carried over to collegiate a cappella, where he served as Music Director of the globetrotting Princeton University Tigertones, and later as a founding member of Voices of Gotham in New York City. Brian has previously performed on the international stage with semifinalist quartet Frank the Dog.

Brian lives in Orlando with his wife Sarah, their daughter Lainey, and pets, Lucky and Binx. In his free time, he enjoys woodworking, painting, and playing bass guitar. He’s thrilled to be singing with Tribute and honoring the quartets he grew up listening to in his youth!

  • Ryan Killeen

    LEAD

Ryan is the Executive Vice President for Franklin Development Corporation in Tampa, FL. He discovered barbershop harmony in college, which led his college quartet to attend SPEBSQSA’s Harmony College via the Larry Ager Scholarship. This sparked his passion, leading him to join the Music City Chorus in Nashville, TN. Ryan has competed internationally in three quartets and two choruses and is currently a member of the International Silver Medalist, The Tampa Bay Heralds of Harmony.

Ryan lives in Plant City, FL with his wife Cyndi, daughter Nora, and their dogs, Barney Fife and Otis Campbell. In his free time, he enjoys serving his church and camping with his family. He is enthusiastic about 80s and 90s Barbershop Harmony and appreciates the chance to honor that era's quartets, choruses, and arrangers.

  • Marshall Crowl

    BARITONE

Marshall works as a Service Technician for MarkVii Car Washes in Southwest Florida. He is a third generation barbershopper, singing since he was just eleven years old with The Tulsa Founders Chorus (the founding chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society!). He served as co-director with his father, Doug Crowl before moving to St. Louis, MO in 2023. Marshall’s notable quartets include City Limits, Harmonium, and Tofu Concern - the 2024 Next Gen 1st Place Champions. While living in St. Louis, he also sang with The Recruits and with The Ambassadors of Harmony when they won the International Chorus Championship in 2023. He currently sings with the 2024 Silver Medalist chorus, The Heralds Of Harmony.

Marshall now resides in Port Charlotte, FL with his fiancé, Abbie and cat, Badger. He enjoys playing on the Nintendo Switch and watching Marvel movies. He is excited to have the opportunity to sing in a quartet that longs to bring back music from the 80’s to early 2000’s.

  • Sam Rinkenbaugh

    BASS

Sam is a Sales Representative located in Tampa, FL. His high school choir director introduced him to barbershop in 2015 and he has been hooked ever since. Sam began singing in the SmorgasChorus in Wichita, KS and shortly after moved to St. Louis to pursue his degree in Music Education where he joined the Ambassadors of Harmony and won a gold medal in 2023. During his time in St. Louis, Sam sang in Tofu Concern with Marshall. In 2024 they were crowned as the International Next Generation Barbershop Quartet Champions.

Outside of barbershop, Sam enjoys working out, playing video games with his friends, and spending time with his girlfriend KaleyAnna. Sam is excited to sing music that pays homage to the quartets and time period of barbershop that included and influenced so many of his barbershop heroes.
